Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Editor and Reporter to contribute to our daily news website and magazine. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a passion for uncovering and reporting on niche topics that resonate with industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• News Coverage: Write and publish 4 to 5 news stories daily based on incoming news and developments in the niche market.
• Feature Writing: Research and produce longer-form articles for special features, including interviewing sources via phone, email, and video calls, as well as tracking down relevant information.
• Editorial Support: Engage in ongoing editorial tasks such as proofreading, editing, and providing constructive feedback to maintain high-quality content.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team to brainstorm story ideas, enhance existing content, and contribute to editorial planning.

• Market Awareness: Stay informed about trends and issues within the niche market to ensure timely and relevant reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a reporter or editor, preferably within a specialized industry or niche.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple stories and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong research skills and the ability to conduct interviews professionally and effectively.
• Familiarity with digital publishing tools and content management systems is a plus.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
