Health and Safety Lead

About your new job:

The Health and Safety Lead at Coca-Cola HBC ensures compliance with occupational, fire, and industrial safety regulations, contributing to the continuous improvement of safety standards across our organization. This role provides the opportunity to further develop expertise in safety management by leading key health and safety projects across various departments and facilities within the business unit covering Ukraine, Moldova, and Armenia. The successful candidate will manage a team dedicated to these countries and will report to the Quality, Safety and Environment Manager for the Ukraine, Moldova, and Armenia business unit.

Our new team member needs to:

• Have a higher education degree in a relevant field;
• Possess experience in a managerial role in occupational safety or as a safety engineer, with a proven track record of leading processes / projects;
• Possess knowledge of legislation related to occupational safety, fire safety, and civil protection;
• Have an Intermediate+ level of English proficiency, capable of participating in meetings conducted in English;
• Be a confident user of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
• Be results-oriented, proactive, and attention to detail.

You can be successful in this role if:

• You ensure compliance with Ukrainian legislation on Occupational Safety, Fire Safety, Civil Protection, and the company's corporate requirements;
• You regularly inspect the state of occupational safety at production facilities, identifying violations and developing effective measures for improvement;
• You manage and oversee road safety issues across the enterprise, ensuring that all procedures and protocols are adhered to;
• You monitor the work of contracting organizations on the enterprise’s territory to ensure their compliance with occupational safety standards;
• You are responsible for obtaining permits, precursor licenses, declarations, and other essential documents for high-risk facilities, ensuring their validity and alignment with legislative requirements;
• You develop new internal procedures and introduce amendments to existing ones to meet the industrial safety management system standards, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and Ukrainian legislation;
• You organize and conduct staff training, briefings, and knowledge testing on occupational safety matters;
• You ensure that employees undergo timely medical examinations, ensuring their health and safety at work;
• You take charge of the certification process for workplaces, ensuring compliance with safety standards;
• You engage with supervisory and state authorities, providing support during scheduled and unscheduled company inspections, and promptly supply information on occupational safety, fire safety, and civil protection;
• You participate in internal and external audits of the Industrial Safety and Occupational Safety Management System and contribute to corrective actions based on audit results, especially for ISO 45001 compliance;
• You manage the department’s budget, ensuring analysis, planning, and monitoring to maintain alignment with the financial goals.
