• Establish and maintain effective working exchanges and relationships with security officials of other UN agencies and organizations, government counterparts, UNDSS office, and all appropriate Security Focal Points to ensure that up-to-date security-related information that is beneficial to Ukraine specific missions is obtained.
• In coordination with the FSO, or FSSO develop, implement, and regularly test a functioning warden system, including SCAAN.
• Provide safety/security briefings for IOM staff appointed, deployed to and travelling within Ukraine.
• In coordination with the FSO, report security matters that have a direct impact on IOM operations immediately to the FSO and FSSO.
• Assist with or personally organize and deliver trainings (Fire Safety drills, Evacuation/Relocation training) on different aspects of security and safety for raising security awareness of personnel.
• Coordinate response to incidents with personnel, assets, or beneficiaries in the IOM premises by third-party security providers.
• Assist with liaison or directly liaise with local law enforcement bodies and emergency medical teams as instructed by the Security Officer.
• Review, study and advising on ConOps of the colleagues traveling to HR mission areas.

• Working cooperatively with individual citizens, groups of citizens, both public and private organizations to identify and resolve issues affecting the welfare of the whole community.

Overall coordination of the training process of local police officers.

• Access Control: Issuing clearances and granting employees access to state secrets; verifying compliance with security protocols.
• Classified Records Management: Receiving, recording, storing, duplicating, and destroying classified documents, data storage media, and materials.
• Leak prevention: implementing measures to prevent the disclosure of classified information and ensuring there are no technical channels for leaks.
• Reporting preparation: maintaining a list of positions, tracking restricted-use forms, and verifying the status of classified records management.
