Position: Interpreter/Translator

Summary:

Linguists Connect Co. is seeking skilled English–Ukrainian linguists to join our team on-site in Ukraine. The role involves translating written materials and delivering interpretation and communication support during diplomatic meetings and official functions, ensuring clear and accurate exchanges between English- and Ukrainian-speaking delegations.

Key responsibilities:

• Translate brochures, official documents, speeches, correspondence, and other materials into English or Ukrainian as required.
• Provide consecutive and liaison interpretation during meetings, briefings, workshops, and public events.
• Facilitate communication between parties who do not share a common language and, when needed, mediate speaker–audience exchanges.
• Review and proofread translations for accuracy, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Required qualifications & skills:

• Native or near-native fluency in Ukrainian and English (spoken and written).
• Previous experience in translation and consecutive interpretation.
• Diploma or certificate in Linguistics, Translation, Interpretation, or a related field — preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
