Audit Associate

Kyiv Strategy Consulting LLC is a leading Ukrainian Company specialized on audit and consultancy services. We support our mother company — BDO Germany, successfully operating in Kyiv for more than 6 years as a representative office. 

Our team consists of 100 professionals who has a variety of professional expertise allowing us to support BDO Member firms with the following supporting lines as research & consultancy, graphic design, projects management, audit support and other.

We are glad to announce the opening for the role of Audit Associate who will join our Auditors Team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Participation in German and European audit projects 
• Active involvement in the day-to-day execution of audit engagements including test of controls, substantive procedures, functioning of audit software to support the Senior associate
• Completion of a variety of areas of audit work which includes the identification of issues, analysis of accounting data from clients and communication of process improvements to the Senior associate
• Verification of financial data and financial statements
• Preparation of working files for the audit engagement
• Appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
• Usage of IT solutions to make the audit procedures easier and speed the audit process.
• Identification of areas requiring improvement in the clients’ business processes and possible recommendations. Participation in the preparation of a Management Letter to the client.
• Establishment of proficiency in using our Audit Methodology to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with International Standards of Auditing (ISA).

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of current and/or recent audit experience within an international or local professional services firm.
• Basic understanding and experience planning and coordinating the stages to perform an audit
• Experience of IFRS and/or US GAAP and international standards on auditing
• Professional accountancy qualification or working towards gaining one (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA, DipIFR, CIA or any other relevant to the audit)
• Fluent English
• Advanced Excel user
• The knowledge of German would be an advantage
• A very good team worker 
• Prior experience with various assurance applications and research tools is beneficial
