Procurement Category Manager (IT category)

Your role will be to lead the IT category procurement (planning, sourcing, contracting, analysis) activities through effective and compliant category tender management and contract negotiations.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels in the organization ant outside to effectively solve problems and be able to demonstrate this clearly in the application. To be highly successful in this role, you will bring with you the ability to think strategically to meet the changing and complex needs of our business. You should be both a competent and efficient category manager who is either experienced at or willing to upskill your technical understanding and knowledge of IT category to ensure a valued service is delivered.

Key Accountabilities

• Proactively manage contracts and framework agreements within their portfolio of procurement projects through the full procurement life cycle of concept; requirements gathering; market analysis; tendering; assessment; contract negotiation and award; in-contract escalation and resolution.
• Provide an effective procurement service relating to all aspects of category management including development of appropriate category management strategies; performance measures; ensuring and reporting upon compliance with audit requirements, and company policies and procedures.
• Lead the category and provide guidance to stakeholders on operation of structured engagements and management plans for all suppliers of works, goods and services within the procurement category.
• Negotiate and agree contractual terms and subsequently sign contracts, commercial agreements and award contracts for the supply of works, goods and services.
• Working with stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers to resolve procurement contract conflicts and disagreements to obtain the best possible resolution. 
• Working with key internal and external stakeholders, recommend updates of procedures related to best practice in procurement category management.

 Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications

• Ideally, you’ll bring 3+ years demonstratable experience of working in a senior sourcing role, with experience of working with data and procurement systems. Experience of working across various areas of IT would be advantageous.
• Ability to pass an interview in both English & Ukrainian
• Communication skills along with the confidence to interface with senior colleagues and stakeholders internal and external.
• Experience in building and maintaining business relations with international companies.
• Demonstrable skills in procurement category management and project management, ability to organize the procurement process and skills in coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex contractual documents.
• Excellent oral and written communicationб inter-personal and negotiation skills
• Extensive experience of working to tight deadlines without supervision
• Complete higher education (economic / financial / technical).

 Desirable

• Background in telecom procurement or combined experience: procurement + telecom sales, project management or telecom engineering.
• Relevant experience in a mobile operator org or telecom vendor.
