GlobalLogic is inviting Automated QA engineer to join the team.

About the project: Well known european producer of power speakers and concert equipment is working on a next generation digital products. As a part of this effort, GlobalLogic will be working on a brand new desktop application to create and edit a virtual 3d audio space, place audio objects there and define their moving trajectories. The data model created by the application will be consumed by a specialized sound processor, which will apply spatial effects on the live performance sound sources. Target platforms for the appplication is Windows and Mac Os X, with a potential to extend it to iOS in future.

Requirements:

Must have:

– BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or last grade student

– At least 3 years of experience in software development

– Proficiency in Python is a must, including object-oriented design skills and robust coding practices.

– Experience with writing robust automated tests and using pytest framework is strongly desired. Test Driven Development experience is a plus.

– Experience with creating automated test frameworks is strongly desired

– Good English (written and spoken) is desirable as this position may involve direct communication with the EU-based customer, clarifying requirements and implementation details

– Experience with testing desktop applications on Mac or Win platforms

– Practical knowledge of test methodologies, relevant standards, processes, and tools

– Analytical mind, willingness to understand complex systems and find their weaknesses

– Eye to detail, ability to localize software problems and provide detailed bug reports

– Knowledge of software development life cycle

– Highly motivated and energetic team member, easy going, proactive, ready to propose and implement solutions in the project. 

Nice to have:

– Understanding of Agile methodology (Scrum)

– Experience in real-time networking application is highly desired.

– Experience in Audio domain, live performance and studio recording is a plus.

– Experience in supporting CI systems and healthy builds

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Automated QA Engineer to strengthen our development team and to focus on delivering high quality products. Being part of an Agile team you will be responsible for development of automation test suites and test framework (70%), as well as manual validation of new features and general workflow testing (30%).

To join our high-performing team, you must have an in-depth understanding of software testing process, tools and techniques, the proficiency to design and execute test cases, extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability, and a passion for media related product development.
