BAT UCRAINE IS LOOKING FOR AN SMD CELL MANAGER

LOCATION: Pryluky

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

SMD Cell Manager is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of production processes and teams within Pryluky Operations. SMD Cell Manager is seen to be a self-sufficient manager able to take leadership in responsible areas, able to manage the performance of big teams, act effectively in the agile production environment, take decisions and lead the team towards achievement of outstanding production results.

Reports to: Production Manager

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Leadership and development

• Back up of Production manager in all critical meetings/engagements
• Drive the effective functioning of AM Pillar (Autonomous Maintenance)
• Review and support effective team structures and drive team development and performance management activities
• Drive loss elimination activities across production and manage the implementation loss elimination action plans
• Drive qualification process for shopfloor employees

Strategy

• Drive the development of the production processes in line with country and company strategy (IWS journey, long term business development plan)
• Manage annual and intermediate cycles for production KPIs target settings
• Ensure regular monitoring of KPI achievements through the support of DDS cycle (Daily Direction Setting)

Decision-Support

• Provide control of the utilization and performance of third-party service provider in production
• Take the decisions related to personnel – moved, promotions, changes in structures, recognitions, penalties
• Support and drive the implementation of changes related to production ensuring proper change management process

Organisation

• Develop and motivate the production team to ensure that they are trained and equipped to carry out their responsibilities and the development has the right direction in line with Factory strategy
• Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed by the production teams
• Support and drive effective cooperation with other internal and external stakeholders where relevant
• Set up and support the communication process within production team to ensure timely cascading of the critical information for decision making
• Drive, support and take part in review of motivational/ recognition programs for production team

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• It is desirable to have an experience in operation companies
• Experience of management of big teams
• Ability to take decisions in changing or unclear environment
• Driver of new initiatives; a motivator of change
• Proactive, persuasive, creative and prepared to challenge status quo
• Strong skills of interpersonal communication and cooperation with different stakeholders
• Priority setting

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of production processes
• Advanced user of MS Office tools (excel, powerpoint, etc.)
• English and at least Intermediate level or above
