About Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB): 

The ASB is a German aid and welfare organization working in areas such as rescue services, civil protection and social services. Since its foundation in 1888, the ASB has acted as a politically and denominationally independent association ensuring a high level of continuity and reliability. ASB’s Foreign Aid Department provides people centred humanitarian response to alleviate human suffering and applies integrated approaches to welfare and to social and socio-economic development. About ASB’s Programme in Ukraine: 
ASB has been implementing humanitarian interventions in Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict in 2014. Following the full-scale invasion in February 2022, ASB has increased the humanitarian operations to respond to multiple needs of the war-affected population in Ukraine. Together with our local partners, we are providing multi-sectoral humanitarian aid in the areas of basic needs, food security, hygiene, winterization, shelter, health and psychosocial support. In 2024, we are supporting Ukrainians with in kind assistance, cash components and social services worth more than 20 Mio. EURs. ASB has around 20 staff members in the main office in Kyiv and the field office in Lviv.

ASB is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and committed individuals for the following position:

Accountant (Kyiv)

The accountant will be part of the Finance Team and reports to and is supervised by the Finance Coordinator and Finance Manager . The position will be based in Kyiv, with duty-trips to the field office to Lviv.

Duration:   till the end of 2024 year (extension foreseen depending on performance)

Key responsibilities:

Ukrainian accountancy under national GAAP

• Day to day control of receipts and invoices; work with bank-statement;
• Update cash/bank journals and balances
• Work in BAS(BAF) software – total control (import all bank-statement operations through two banks in BAF system, do all instal/write-offs by rules of Ukrainian law and by Ukrainian accountancy on right accounts etc.)
• Regular reporting to the controlling authorities
• Manage originals of receipts and invoices
• Co-working on administrative archive
• Yearly report to government/tax services with balance sheet and finance results (P&L/CF)

РОБОТА з рахунком цільового фінансування - 48, 
Вміти вести облік з розбивкою по проектам. 
Щомісячна/щоквартальна/щорічна звірка 311 і 48 рахунків.
Вміти робити бухгалтерські проводки в БАФ, ручні проводки по списанню курсових різниць.
Ручні проводки формування зарплати(маємо прив'язку до курсу на день виплати).
Складання/формування/редагування внутрішніх положень/наказів/політик тощо
Амортизація, введення в експлеатацію, МШП. 

Human Resource Administration Management 

• Follow up and update national staff HR’s administrative issues: personal documents, leave follow up, payment sheets, etc.
• Prepare or renew all labour or service contracts for local personnel in accordance with local legislation and internal procedures
• Support any ASB staff on HR related matters
• Update HR data base
• Manage time sheets, control time distribution over projects

Minimum Level of Competency:

• Minimum education level: High-school diploma
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an accountant position (NGO)
• Experience in accounting and human resources administration management
• Languages: English, Ukrainian
• Good knowledge particularly with Excel, Word and accounting software
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Organization skills
• Team player 
• Experience working in humanitarian emergency settings is an asset
