Financial analyst (Remote)

Ehvert Engineering is a Canadian owned building engineering company specializing in the design and construction of very large data centers in USA, Canada, and Mexico. These are the large complex buildings that house computers for the largest internet cloud providers.

We are actively looking for an experienced Financial analyst to join our team.

What will you do:

• Review monthly accounting entries in QuickBooks Online software for the four companies in USA, Canada, Ukraine, and Estonia.
• Most of our staff in Ukraine and Estonia are private entrepreneurs, so the accounting work required for Ukraine and Estonia is small with most of the accounting work being related to Canada and USA.
• Prepare monthly job costing and project profitability reports using Knowify software.
• Review monthly accruals and adjusting entries.
• Prepare year-end statements and work with company auditors to prepare financial reports.
• Produce monthly cash flow projections.
• Produce consolidated reports for group of companies (Canada, USA, Estonia) using Fathom software (preferred, but not required) on monthly basis.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as may be required by this position.

What we expect:

• A bachelor’s/master's degree in accounting, finance or a related field of study
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in similar position.
• English requirement minimal is B2 — upper intermediate.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Strong experience with Excel is a must)
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is an asset.
• Experience with software such as Knowify and Fathom is also an asset.
• Knowledge of MS Access is nice to have.
• Ability to work under time pressures.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Great time management
• Ability to effectively multitask and establish priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience, good communications skills, good computer software skills, with good attention to detail and accuracy. If you have these qualities and are an initiative-taking person, with excellent organizational and analytical skills, we are waiting for you.

Your duties would include the preparation, review, and consolidation of our accounting statements for USA, Canada, Ukraine, and Estonia with most of the work for USA and Canada. You would also prepare profitability reports for projects that are in one country but involve production staff, subconsultants and subcontractors in four different countries.

The position is a very good way to further develop your accounting skills and knowledge.

We currently have as small team of about 60 people and are growing very quickly with offices in Canada, USA, Ukraine, and Estonia. The majority of our staff lives and works in Ukraine but most of our projects are only in USA, Canada and Mexico.

Although we are small, our accounting needs are complex because the projects that we work on are very large and we operate in four countries with different accounting treatment.
