Job Title: GL Specialist 

Description:

We are an accounting firm looking for an Accountant who will take end-to-end responsibility for general ledger accounting for a group of four entities.

The role is suitable for an accountant with solid hands-on experience who understands accounting principles and is comfortable working independently while collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders.

We will trust you to:

• Full GL accounting for assigned entities

• Preparation and posting of accruals, provisions, and standard journals

• Bank postings and cash-related accounting activities, involvement in cash flow preparation

• Balance sheet analysis, including explanations of movements and balances

• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and follow-up on discrepancies

• Ongoing monitoring of accounting activities across the entities

• Preparation of clear and structured responses to auditors’ inquiries

• Support during audit processes

• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures

• Providing comments and insights on accounting topics and changes within the entities

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting (GL-focused experience is an advantage)

• Solid understanding of accounting principles

• Experience with:

  • Accruals and journal entries

  • Balance sheet reconciliations

  • Account analysis

• Ability to analyze data and explain accounting movements clearly

• Experience communicating with auditors or external stakeholders

• Very good English (B2 written and spoken)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned entities

Nice to have:

• SAP exposure

• Prior experience in an accounting firm or shared service environment

• Knowledge of US GAAP
