Junior Category Manager

We are looking for a Junior Category Manager to join our client's team, a Global Leader in Personal Care & Hygiene, and contribute to category development, commercial strategy, and revenue management.

You will work closely with the Senior Category Manager to drive category growth, develop relationships with key retailers, and support commercial and sales teams with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing category vision and strategy based on market insights, customer behavior, and growth drivers.

• Participate in joint category development processes with key clients and retailers.

• Support the creation and execution of category plans for various channels and customers using the DPSM approach (Distribution, Pricing, Shelving, Merchandising).

• Collaborate on the development of commercial strategies, revenue management, category expansion, and portfolio optimization.

• Contribute to Revenue Growth Management (RGM) by analyzing and optimizing:

  1. Pricing

  2. Price Pack Architecture

  3. Mix Management (Portfolio, Channel, and Customer)

  4. Gross to Net Optimization (Trade Spend & Investment)

  5. Commercial Policy & Trade Terms

• Support the commercial team with category tools, ensuring data accuracy and resolving issues.

• Assist in promo validation by analyzing promotional proposals and their alignment with sales targets.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement category and commercial strategies.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Sales acumen and understanding of category management processes are a plus.

• Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint, including:

  • Advanced formulas and data analysis.

  • Pivot tables and reporting.

  • Dynamic charting (Sparklines, Combination Charts, etc.).

• Good presentation and communication skills.

• Understanding of retail business and consumer insights.

• Experience working with Nielsen database is an advantage.

• English: Intermediate or higher (Upper-Intermediate is a plus).
