Duties:

Local guards provide security for Embassy personnel and facilities by conducting access control and visitor screening duties as a member of a local guard program. The local guard shall prevent unauthorized access; protect life; maintain order; deter criminal attacks against employees; dependents and property and terrorist acts against all US assets and prevent damage to Government property. Protects US Government personnel, facilities, and equipment from damage or loss.

Work Schedule Details: Full-time (8-hour, 10-hour and 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays)

Key Requirements:

Experience: Six months prior work experience is required.

Language: Limited knowledge of English (speaking/reading/writing) is required.

Good working knowledge of Ukrainian (speaking/reading/writing) is required.

Skills And Abilities: Ability to understand the security control panel and to operate emergency alarms and the public address system.  Ability to use state-of-the-art security and radio communication equipment.  Ability to use the following equipment: Automated External Defibrillator, fire extinguisher, personal protective equipment (i.e. batons, pepper spray, handcuffs, and flexi cuffs, etc.). Daily duties may involve extended periods of walking and/or standing in a wide variety of weather conditions. Ability to work flexible shift schedules, to include nights, days, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Досвід роботи: мінімум шість (6) місяців професійного досвіду.
• Мовні вимоги: обмежене володіння англійською мовою (усно/читання/письмо); впевнене робоче володіння українською мовою (усно/читання/письмо).
• Навички та здібності: вміння працювати з віповідними системами та обладнанням, а саме: аварійними сигналізаціями та системами оповіщення; сучасним охоронним і радіозв’язковим обладнанням; здатність використовувати автоматичний зовнішній дефібрилятор (AED), вогнегасник та засоби індивідуального захисту. Здатність тривалий час перебувати на ногах і працювати за різних погодних умов. Готовність працювати за гнучким позмінним графіком, включно з нічними змінами, вихідними та святковими днями.
