4PL Logistics Specialist – Parcel Commodity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented 4PL Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize parcel commodity operations within our supply chain network. This role combines analytical expertise with hands-on operational experience, ensuring cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance across multiple carriers. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance performance and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Parcel Management & Optimization
• Oversee end-to-end parcel logistics operations within a 4PL framework.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize parcel routing, carrier selection, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor carrier performance and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).

• Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze shipment data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance gaps.
• Prepare and present KPI dashboards and operational reports to stakeholders.

• Operational Execution
• Resolve operational issues promptly to maintain service continuity.
• Ensure adherence to customs, regulatory, and safety requirements.
• Implementation of parcel provider changes when required within client network.

• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding parcel logistics.
• Collaborate with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to streamline processes.
• Support procurement in negotiating parcel-related contracts and rates.

Required Competencies & Skills:

• Analytical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in data analysis, KPI tracking, and cost modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QLIK) preferred.

• Operational Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of parcel logistics, carrier networks, and 4PL operations.
• Familiarity with TMS/WMS systems and parcel shipping platforms.

• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions quickly.

• Communication & Collaboration:

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills for managing stakeholders and carriers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in parcel logistics or 4PL operations.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs compliance is a plus.
• Fluent in English
