The main responsibilities:

Manage Brand and  Communications:

  • Develop an integrated marketing communications strategy to support sales and services objectives by addressing customer/driver needs and brand/product perceptions in the local market (based on market intelligence data and via target group relevant content)
  • Execute M&C (Marketing & Communication) plans and concepts with the aim to increase the awareness and consideration for the overall Scania brand as selected products and services
  • Measure the results and establish KPI’s for M&C activities/campaign/events (ex. # of Leads, Qualified leads, HTS image, surveys….)
  • Oversee the annual M&C budget and follow up the development as % of revenue, in channel split (print, digital, events) and business area split (NV sales, services, UV, Rental…..)
  • Build and maintain the Scania employer brand to be perceived as an attractive company to work for in strong cooperation with HR
  • Ensure effective internal communication processes are in place in both wholesale and retail networks
  • Ensure graphical design capabilities are in place in order to serve communication needs in a fast, flexible and cost effective way
  • Main contact person for trademark/corporate identity questions

Drive Digital Communication:

  • Drive digital innovation in communication to effectively reach selected target groups and reduce waste in printed materials
  • Active presence and content strategy in customer/driver relevant online channels  (Social Media, Search, Web and Mobile) 
  • Set relevant KPI’s for each digital channel and ability to track/follow-up inbound leads
  • Monitor developing trends in the digital area
  • Support the sales and services organization with digital tools that improve customer experience and reduce waste in print
  • Automate lead generation and follow-up (CRM) with the help of digital tools where feasible and applicable

Retail support:

  • Generate inbound leads for the retail network (sales and services) with the focus on the Oasis customer segment (Prospects)
  •  Ensure structured follow- up of leads is in place and processes in order to quantify and qualify leads (Contact centre/internal resource) before handing over to Salespeople (ideally via CRM)
  • Generate and identify outbound leads for the retail network (sales, services) through market intelligence (focus on lapse customers upselling existing customers)
  • Organize events (Customers, Drivers, Media) and participate at business relevant trade fairs and per the need of the retail network 
  • Hold regular meetings with the retail organisation (ex. Quarterly meetings) 
  • Drive and support the dealers in the development of workshop level M&C plans/activities and follow up on implementation and results
  • Support the dealers with information, tools, campaigns to plan and execute their M&C plans and activities
  • Make sure a process is in place for Contact centre to follow up on inbound and outbound leads and to qualify the leads before passing them on to the Salespeople (ideally via one CRM)

Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor market and competitor activity, trends and demands
  • Monitor customer and driver needs, demands, perceptions 
  • Support sales and services strategy development by applying information and insights gained
  • Identify or acquire data to identify and/or generate business potential and outbound leads (wholesale and workshop level)
  • Maintain up-to date data in the CRM system (sales, services) as a hub of all customer related information
  • Ensure a process is in place to be able to quantify leads generated by the M&C activities and follow-up the sales funnel
  • Main contact person for HTS, CSI and NPS

Manage Public Relations and Public Affairs:

  • Make sure there is a Media strategy in place to build the Scania brand to be perceived as the leader in the shift towards sustainable transport in the market place
  • Maintain positive relationship with traditional trade media and build strong relationships with digital and business media
  • Organization and participation for media events
  • Single point of contact for media and general and to manage crises communication
  • Active role in local sustainability key stakeholder/ecosystem mapping (ex: media, government, municipalities, customer’s customer) and have a plan in place to establish/maintain positive relationship with them to build the Scania brand
  • Strong interdepartmental collaboration skills and solid understanding of the business in order to be perceived as professional and reliable contact for the media (and other stakeholders as per need) 
  • Monitor the effect of public policy changes on their organisation and advise the Scania Mgmt.
  • Establish regular contact with politicians, political advisers, civil servants, non-departmental public bodies or regulators to keep them informed about Scania’s work and policy concerns 

Build and Lead the Team:

  • Promote and encourage a result and customer oriented mind-set
  • Motivate and support teams and employees to reach targets 
  • Set a governance structure to manage, lead, support and follow-up the functions and operations
  • Follow up operations performance and deliveries
  • Identify deviations and ensure appropriate actions are taken
  • Lead function meetings
  • Regularly visit customers
  • Ensure compliance with Scania standards, policies, local legislation and regulations
  • Conduct and act upon P&D Talks, competence and performance management,  succession planning and employee satisfaction surveys
  • Manage and support department recruitments and onboardings

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant Education or equivalent work experience
  • Business knowledge and experience from a similar role an advantage
  • Managerial and Leadership experience
  • Fluent in English
