UI/UX Designer

Default Value is a highly experienced outsourcing company with 15 years of experience. We are looking for a UI/UX designer to become part of the team developing a huge and long-standing web product, with an extensive design system that includes hundreds of layouts. Designers take care of the areas where they can be most productive and have the most expertise.

The introduction to the project starts with tackling standalone tasks. Gradually, a designer is expected to become a creator and maintainer of brand-new functionality. Creativity and the ability to generate and discuss ideas is most welcome. It is a project that offers a chance for professional development.

Personal requirements:

• First and foremost, we are looking for someone highly motivated to add value to the product that our team has been working on for years

• Being able to show initiative is a very important trait we’re looking for

• Designers are trusted to be self-reliant and responsible for their own tasks and priorities, with no need for micro-management

• All details are little big details. So thinking things through and having the foresight to prevent potential pitfalls is an important skill

• Being a good team player and effective communicator in a team of over 45 members

• Showing reliability and delivering high-quality work within reasonable timeframes

Technical requirements:

• Good base in foundational subjects (preferably graphic design, with a strong understanding of art and design history, color theory, typography, iconography, etc.)

• Deep understanding of UI/UX practices, accessibility, and other W3C standards.

• Fluent knowledge of Adobe CC (Ps, Ai, Xd, experience with Ae is very welcome), preferably Figma as well

• Ability to plan and structure large tasks. To create wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows and use other common practices.

• Understanding of RWD principles

• Working knowledge of designer-developer handoff (retina, sprites, SVG, etc.)

• Experience with generative AI tools 

Will be a plus:

• Ability to create UI animations

• Portfolio featuring game dev projects

• Game-related illustrator skills
