JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Managing ELTOMA’s accounting function:

1. Managing teams of Accountants.
2. Overseeing IFRS-based accounting for clients in various jurisdictions.
3. Managing the monthly close of individual and consolidated accounts.
4. Managing treasury functions.
5. Budgeting, budgetary control, and analysis.
6. Conducting cost analysis.
7. Pricing ELTOMA’s products.
8. Supervising the preparation of MIS reports.
9. Designing and developing internal control policies and procedures.
10. Assisting with direct and indirect tax compliance for ELTOMA.
11. Overseeing payroll functions.
12. Liaising with overseas offices to support the operations of ELTOMA.
13. Ensure profitability of the Accounting Department.

The job dimensions include:

1. Reviewing bookkeeping and preparing financial statements for clients and ELTOMA.
2. Preparing consolidated accounts for clients and ELTOMA.
3. Liaising with auditors and clients to complete audits and file financial statements.
4. Coaching and training a team of Senior and Junior Accountants.
5. Monitoring the performance of each accountant concerning his or her portfolio.
6. Monitoring financial performance of the Accounting Department.
7. Consulting clients and ELTOMA’s Accountants on IFRS matters.
8. Reviewing and approving timesheets of Senior and Junior Accountants.

Requirements and Person Specification:

1. University or College degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
2. Professional certification in accountancy (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or similar).
3. A minimum of five years of proven work experience in the accounting profession in managerial position. Experience in one of the Big 4 Accounting firms or in any other multinational organization will be considered an advantage.
4. A thorough understanding of IFRS is required.
5. Experience in preparing both standalone and consolidated financial statements is required.
6. The ability to communicate and present complex financial information to clients is essential.
7. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Successful candidates will be required to complete an accounting assignment and go through several job interviews to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate. Some of these interviews will be conducted in English. Successful candidates will also be asked to provide references.
