Overview
We are looking for Head of Controlling to join the Vetropack Moldova (Chisinau) finance team and who will take ownership of management accounting, cost control, and support data-driven decision-making. This role has a strong impact on financial transparency and overall business profitability.
This position involves relocating to Moldova (Chisinau).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end financial controlling processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Lead and develop a team of 2-4 finance professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
- Calculate and analyze product cost across a complex, multi-SKU manufacturing environment.
- Partner closely with production and supply chain teams to optimize cost structures and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within SAP, including cost allocations and inventory valuation.
- Prepare monthly management reports with clear insights into financial performance and key drivers.
- Monitor and control production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Professional certifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) will be considered a strong advantage
- Advanced level of English
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller/ Head of finance controlling in a manufacturing company
- Strong expertise in cost accounting within complex production environments (high SKU volume is a must)
- Advanced user of SAP
- Expert-level Excel skills
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
