About the job 

The ICRC ICT recruits a Premises Maintenance Officer based in its Kyiv office. In close cooperation with the team members and line managers, the Premises Maintenance Officer will ensure and assist in the proper maintenance of ICRC premises, equipment, and supplies. 

Start date: as soon as possible 

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the utility provision and assisting in the maintenance of the premises
  • Taking part in the collection of all premises-related invoices from external suppliers, processing and applying to the administration for timely payment  
  • Assisting in maintaining/repairing/replacement of equipment and infrastructure
  • Participating in the market survey for the search of new premises (offices, apartments, warehouses)
  • Taking part in collection, calculation, and reimbursement of utilities costs for residences and offices
  • Ensuring that all files under processing are well maintained, updated on time, and adequately kept
  • Managing the inventories of the ICRC office and residences. Participating in the yearly premises inventory
  • Managing the supply and distribution of all stocks and inventories and ensuring that the replenishment is organized on time and all corresponding documents are prepared and submitted for validation promptly and accordingly
  • Calculating the consumption statistics and suggesting improvements
  • Ordering or purchasing any necessary materials and supplies in coordination with logistics staff; maintaining related stock
  • Supporting, coordinating, and managing the housekeeping team in the absence of the Housekeeping Team Leader to ensure adherence to schedules and the quality of their work. Organizing work schedules for housekeepers

About you

To be successful as a Premises Maintenance Officer in the Finance and Administration Department, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:   

  • Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
  • Professional/vocational school or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English 
  • Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position (stock management, housekeeping, cleaning, housing, or similar) 
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
  • Confidence in managing projects and staff
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
