About the job 

The ICRC Logistics Department recruits a Procurement Team Leader to be based in its Kyiv office. The Procurement Team Leader will be responsible for the projects related to general procurement (logistics, administration), financial services, and IT related goods. She/He is managing her/his Buyers team in the execution of the concerned files. The role of the Procurement Team Leader is to satisfy the requester's demands respecting the best quality / price / service relation and ensuring compliance with ICRC standard procedures. 

She/He implements the purchasing strategy under the supervision of the Deputy Country Procurement Manager.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the activities of the team's Buyers
• Develop and maintain a deep level of awareness of the local market (availability, capacity, regulatory landscape, trends, current affairs, etc.), in particular in the product categories in focus for the team
• Analyse demand patterns in relation to market capacity, initiating long-term agreements for recurring purchases whenever beneficial for the ICRC
• Work in close cooperation with the Supply Chain Management unit to plan and manage the team's supplier deliveries in accordance to demand planning schedules and constraints related to warehousing and transport

About you

To be successful as Procurement Team Leader in the Logistics Department, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

• Ukrainian citizenship or holding a permanent resident permit in Ukraine.
• University degree in business, economy or equivalent is an advantage 
• Certifications in purchasing, procurement or supply-chain management
• 6 years experience in a technical field, including three years in procurement.
• Good knowledge of the local market(s)
• Computer proficiency, including knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Ukrainian
• Confidence in managing projects and staff
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
