About the job
The ICRC Economic Security (EcoSec) Department is seeking a highly capable Economic Security Generalist to join our team in Kharkiv. The role is responsible for participation in the planning, implementing, and monitoring the ICRC’s economic security program. The EcoSec Generalist will carry out basic field and office work related to implementing and monitoring the ICRC’s economic security programme under the close supervision and guidance of their hierarchical superior.
Start date: December 2024
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare material and logistics for trips into the field
- Collect field and other data using data-collection tools and devices.
- Enter data into the survey database and the EcoSec Programme Management Tool
- Maintain and update databases
- Provide verbal reports after field visits
- Participate in providing assistance to the population (registration, aid distribution, etc.)
- Provide administrative support

About you
To be successful as Economic Security Generalist in the EcoSec Department, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- High school diploma, technical education, or professional or university degree in a related field
- Good command (spoken and written) of English and Ukrainian
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar field of activity
- Experience working for an NGO or international organization an asset
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
