About the job 

The ICRC Economic Security (EcoSec) Department is seeking a highly capable Economic Security Generalist to join our team in Odesa. The role participates in the planning, implementing, and monitoring of the ICRC’s economic security program. S/he will analyze the economic security situation, conduct needs and market assessments, and plan EcoSec interventions in consultation with EcoSec Delegate and/or EcoSec Team Leader. S/he will be also designing and implementing the activities according to department objectives, plan for results, operational plan, agreed budget frame and plan of action (PoA), as well as reporting on the progress of the program as required.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Collect data using standard data-collection tools and devices, perform mid-level qualitative and quantitative data analysis, interpret basic quantitative and qualitative data analysis, describe results and produce data visualizations. Design or adjust data-collection tools.
• Contribute to the ICRC’s understanding of the general situation and humanitarian constraints in Ukraine
• Prepare material and logistics for field trips and conduct assessment, registration, distribution, monitoring and other activities in rural and semi-urban communities
• Support implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programmes by preparing operational documents, templates, data streamlining, etc.
• Contribute to developing methods, plans, implementation, logistics, and reporting for aid distribution.
• Prepare reports and draft project proposals.
• Maintain contacts with external interlocuters such as head of Hromadas, village leaders, government units, and other humanitarian actors. 
• Translate documents for internal use and interpret them upon request
• Provide administrative support

About you

To be successful as Economic Security Generalist in the EcoSec Department, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• High school diploma, technical education, or professional or university degree in a related field
• Good command (spoken and written) of English and Ukrainian
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar field of activity
• Experience working for an NGO or international organization an asset
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
