About the job
The ICRC People and Culture Unit is seeking a highly capable Staff Psychosocial Support Officer to join our team in Kyiv. This role is to implement the Staff Health Strategy and, specifically, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) strategy for ICRC staff in close collaboration with the staff health team.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Providing direct psychological support Contribute to strategies and interventions to increase staff mental health awareness and self-care strategies and to decrease stigma associated with psychological suffering
- Contribute to the design and implementation of programs that increase mutual support and peer support
- Contribute to communication campaigns and strategies to decrease stigma and improve help-seeking behaviors
- Contribute to the evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of the interventions to promote ongoing learning and internal accountability
- Identifying relevant and trusted external mental health service providers and developing a referral mechanism

- Reach out proactively to staff affected by a critical incident immediately after the incident and provide direct support to groups and individuals
- Contribute to developing MHPSS well-being intervention plans to identify and reduce organizational psychosocial risk factors and enhance those that are protected
- Contribute to the promotion of good managerial practices
Plan and organize regular visits to all ICRC locations in Ukraine, to actively support the Staff health team

About you
To be successful as Staff Psychosocial Support Field Officer in the People and Culture Team, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology.
- Valid license to practice in Ukraine
- Typically, 6 to 9 years of overall professional experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in MHPSS programs
- Experience in conducting workshops, training, and clinical supervision
- Clinic, psychosocial, and community-based experience
- Humanitarian experience is an asset
- Fluent command (written and spoken) of English and Ukrainian
- Computer proficiency
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
