About the job 

The ICRC Premises Department is seeking a highly capable Housekeeper to join our team in Kharkiv. The Housekeeper will be in charge of the cleanliness of our Premises (office, residence, warehouse) according to the schedule provided by the supervisor.

Start date: 1 August 2024

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Clean all surface, all rooms (bathroom, toilets, etc.), furniture and equipment (fridge, dishes, oven, curtains, etc.)
• Empty trash
• Provide laundry and ironing services
• Supply the office with cleaning materials and follows-up the stock when required
• Prepare coffee and tea if assigned at the office
• Support other departments in a variety of tasks when assigned to the office
• Check the status and know how to use passive security equipment (fire extinguisher, fire blanket, escape ladder, etc.)

About you

To be successful as Housekeeper in the Premises department, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• Primary school education
• Similar work experience 
• Good knowledge of basic hygiene principles 
• Basic level (written and spoken) in English
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
