About the job 

The Economic Security (EcoSec) Unit seeks a highly capable Economic Security Field Officer to join our team in Dnipro. The Economic Security Field Officer, a pivotal role, will plan, implement, and monitor the ICRC’s economic security program in line with the ICRC strategy and under the supervision and guidance of its hierarchical superior. As part of a bigger team, the Economic Security Field Officer will play a crucial role in assisting conflict-affected populations and supporting the vital task of restoring their livelihoods.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ICRC’s understanding of the general situation and humanitarian constraints in Ukraine
• Conduct field assessments in urban and rural communities 
• Plan, implement, and monitor the ICRC’s economic security program 
• Contribute to developing methods, plans, implementation, logistics, and reporting for aid distribution
• Prepare reports and project proposals
• Maintain contacts with external interlocutors such as village leaders and relevant government agencies 
• Contribute to the unit strategy, reports, and databases
• Design or adjust data-collection tools
• Translate documents for internal use and interpret them upon request

About you

To be successful as an Economic Security Field Officer in the Economic Security Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:  

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• High school diploma, technical education, or professional or university degree in a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar field of activity
• Computer proficiency
• Excellent command of Ukrainian and Russian
• Good command (spoken and written) of English
• Computer literate
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
