About the job 

The ICRC ICT Unit recruits a Housekeepers Team Leader to be based in its Kyiv office. In close cooperation with the team members and line managers, the Premises Housekeepers Team Leader will supervise a team of housekeepers and ensure that the ICRC premises are  clean, and all relevant high quality housekeeping services are provided and fully controlled.

Start date: as soon as possible 

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper and timely provision of housekeeping services (office, apartments, warehouse)
• Independently organizing and supervising the team of housekeepers
• Organizing work schedules for housekeepers
• Ensuring that all housekeepers are properly equipped and instructed
• Managing and delivering the stock of cleaning-related products
• Providing instructions and supervising the housekeeping team in organising tea/coffee breaks for internal meetings during usual office hours
• Managing the inventories of the ICRC office and residences. Participating in the yearly premises inventory
• Keeping related statistics and files properly 
• Managing the supply and distribution of all stocks and inventories including coffee break items, drinking water, cleaning materials and stationery, contingency stock, etc.          
• Ensuring that the replenishment is organized on time, and all corresponding documents are prepared and submitted for validation promptly and accordingly
• Ensuring that all consumption statistics is recorded and properly kept

About you

To be successful as a Housekeepers Team Leader in the Premises Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:   

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• High school or professional diploma 
• Typically, 2 years of experience in providing cleaning services
• Experience in managing a team is an asset
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English 
• Computer literate (Word, Excel – basic or intermediate   level)
• Knowledge of basic hygiene procedures and principles
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Confidence in managing projects and staff
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
