Job Title: Lead Software Engineer
Location: Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to take a founding role in building a next-generation enterprise file protection platform.
This is a hands-on technical leadership position focused on system architecture, low-level development, and cross-platform agent design.

You will define the core architecture, write production code, and lead the technical direction of the platform.
The ideal candidate has deep experience building complex software systems, infrastructure, or cybersecurity products—and can take ownership of the entire platform lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end architecture of the core platform and agent
Develop production-grade Go (Golang) code for system, storage, and event pipeline components
Design cross-platform agent architecture ( Windows / Linux / macOS )
Implement file system monitoring and event capture mechanisms
Define coding standards and key architectural decisions
Build high-performance, low-memory, reliable system components
Collaborate closely with founders on product and technical direction
Lead and mentor future engineers as the team grows
Ensure the system is built for scale, stability, and security

Requirements

7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with Go (Golang)
Proficiency in C / C++
Strong understanding of Windows OS internals
Experience with NTFS , file metadata, USN Journal , and ReadDirectoryChangesW
Knowledge of Linux inotify and macOS FSEvents
Experience building system / infrastructure / security products
Hands-on experience developing long-running services / agents / daemons
Skilled in designing logging, event, and versioning systems
Deep understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and reliability
Ability to work independently in an early-stage, startup environment
