Personal Assistant to the CEO
Hybrid | Full-Time | Flexible Location | 4-Year Commitment
You Want More Than a Job
You're ambitious. Organized. Hungry to grow. You don't want to shuffle papers at a desk for a boss who barely knows your name. You want to be in the room where decisions happen. You want mentorship, not management. You want a career that actually goes somewhere.
The problem? Most entry-level roles don't offer that. You're told to "pay your dues" in jobs that teach you nothing, working for companies that see you as replaceable. You know you're capable of more, but no one's giving you the chance to prove it.
That's frustrating. And it's wrong.
We're Looking for Someone Like You
VamosWatu is a Talent Partner for Seed and Series A startups. We're the operational engine that executes recruiting, payroll, compliance, and office management so founders can focus on building. Our Hybrid EOR Service combines the stability and compliance of an Employer of Record with the flexibility of a modern startup partnership. We don't just process payroll; we manage sourcing, onboarding, retention, and local operations end-to-end. With approximately 25 team members and an ambitious growth trajectory, we help startups hire the RIGHT talent without the rigidity of legacy providers.
We need a Personal Assistant to the CEO. Not an errand-runner. A true right hand. Someone who will manage both personal and professional responsibilities, create structure where there is chaos, and grow into a trusted partner over four years.
This is a rare opportunity for a junior professional who wants direct access to a CEO, exposure to international business, and a clear path to increasing responsibility and autonomy.
Working with the CEO
Transparency matters. Here's what you should know about the CEO's personality and working style before you apply:
Communication: The CEO is very direct and can come off as blunt, sharp, or even rude to some people. This is not personal; it's efficiency. If you're sensitive to direct feedback, this role is not for you. The CEO prefers visual, on-call updates with quick explanations rather than long written reports.
Decision-Making: Fast and deliberate. Decisions are made quickly and with conviction. You'll need to keep up.
Pace: High intensity most of the time, with occasional periods of calm. Expect a demanding environment where urgency is the norm, not the exception.
Feedback Style: Blunt but encouraging. The CEO does not believe in holding back opinions. You will always know where you stand. Mistakes are learning opportunities, but repeated mistakes due to carelessness are not tolerated.
What frustrates the CEO: Lack of organization. No updates. Unreliability. Lack of focus. Lack of passion. If you go quiet, miss deadlines, or show up without energy, this will not work.
What the CEO Values: Initiative. Honesty. Drive. Speed. Precision. Creativity. Obedience. Loyalty. If you take ownership, move fast, follow direction, stay committed, and bring solutions, you will thrive.
A Note on Hours: The CEO texts at odd hours but does not always require an immediate response. Together, you will develop a shared code system to distinguish urgent requests from non-urgent ones. Boundaries will be established collaboratively.
