The project
Our client is a fast-growing fintech software company operating a proprietary trading platform. The platform provides:
- Trading evaluations for aspiring traders;
- Funded accounts to back retail traders;
- Advanced analytics and execution tools for real-time trading.
The system is already in production, now the team is adding major new features and squashing bugs to deliver the next generation of trading capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Design & implement new backend features using Spring Boot 2.x;
- Develop & maintain Angular 13+ front-end modules;
- Build real-time functionality with WebSockets and message brokers;
- Troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and quick resolutions;
- Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries and indices for performance and scalability;
- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions;
- Write clean, testable, documented code, and participate in code reviews.
Must-have qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience with Java (Spring Boot 2.x);
- 3+ years with Angular 13+ (or comparable modern Angular versions);
- Deep proficiency in PostgreSQL at production scale;
- Proven experience building real-time systems (WebSockets, event streams, etc.);
- Track record of maintaining high availability and responsiveness under pressure;
- Able to own features from design through deployment.
Nice to have
- Prior work on proprietary trading platforms or at prop trading firms;
- Integration experience with broker APIs (e.g. cTrader, MetaTrader, DXTrade);
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud deployments.
