Database Administrator (DBA)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid experience with relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and deep understanding of transactions, locks, indexes
• Hands-on with migration tools (Liquibase, Flyway, etc.) and CI/CD integration (e.g., GitLab Pipelines)
• Strong grasp of Database-as-Code and GitOps principles
• Skilled in access control, performance monitoring, backups, and high availability setups
• Able to manage large-scale changes and minimize downtime risks
• Collaborative: experience in code reviews, clear documentation, and cross-team communication

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Experience with large datasets, high-load systems, query optimization
• Familiarity with ClickHouse

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage schema versioning via Git and migrations
• Review SQL scripts, optimize queries, and ensure conflict-free changes
• Integrate and automate migrations in CI/CD pipelines
• Configure secure access, enforce change control (no manual prod changes)
• Monitor performance, plan optimizations, manage risks (locks, deadlocks)
• Create backup/recovery and rollback strategies
• Support and train developers on best DB practices, promote Database-as-Code
