DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates to occupy the STTA position of Designer for DAI USAID Pro-Integrity program position to work on the recently awarded Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity), a $90 million, multiyear contract funded by USAID.
Project Background
The purpose of the Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity) is to reduce corruption incidence and risks to build back a better Ukraine. The Pro-Integrity Activity (also referred heretofore as the Activity) will work to achieve this purpose by addressing three independent objectives:
- Strengthen national level anti-corruption institutional capacity to advance corruption prevention, detection, and deterrence;
- Strengthen anti-corruption compliance and control in local governance;
- Advance transparency and accountability in resilience, recovery, and reconstruction efforts.
The Pro-Integrity Activity will pursue a problem-driven approach addressing the root causes through targeted objectives aligned with mission and U.S. government strategy.
Position Description
The graphic designer will work closely with the Communications team and will help to implement the project’s communications strategy, proposing unique design styles that inspire and captivate the project's audiences.
Responsibilities
- Review project documents and familiarize themselves with the overall project, scope and specific activity areas and emerging directions as the project is implemented.
- Create a comprehensive project design style for social media platforms
- Create and design various materials(pictures, animations, banners etc.) for digital
(social media) and print (magazines, billboards, brochures, banners etc.) in accordance with the design style.
- Create infographics that make complex ideas more accessible
- Design templates for newsletter digests, presentations etc
- Design materials for email marketing platforms
- Any other tasks as requested by project or communications team leadership.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional graphic designing experience
- A degree in Design,Arts or other related degrees (such as Visual Marketing or Visual Communications) is required
- A strong portfolio of illustrations and other graphics is required
- Familiarity with software and technologies (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or any other software the project sees fit for use) is required
- Excellent communication skills are required
- A moderate understanding of typography is an advantage
- Additional demonstrated proficiency in the use of graphic arts/design, data visualization, and/or other applications relevant for the development of communications products preferred.
