Senior Manual QA Engineer

Our company is looking for Senior General QA Engineer to work on a project from one of the largest UK consulting financial companies with business trips to London (every six months)
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in web testing
Understanding of JSON, XML
Experience in managing tasks and defects using Jira
Experience in working in Agile software development lifecycle
Experience in API testing
Good level of test design
Knowledge of testing methodologies
A relentless passion for software quality
Experience with Selenium will be a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in using testing tools (Postman)
Experience in test documentation organizing tools (VSTS)
English – Upper intermediate


Responsibilities:
Understanding, analyzing and reviewing technical requirements and working with a team
Product testing;
Regular regression testing (software quality maintenance);

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior QA Manual Tester to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. As a Senior QA Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure the delivery of a seamless and exceptional user experience.

What do you need to do?

• Conduct thorough and systematic testing of our SaaS platform's features, functionalities, and integrations to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the QA team and stakeholders to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases for different modules and components of the SaaS application.
• Execute manual test cases according to the defined test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all relevant scenarios and use cases.
• Accurately document defects using a standardized defect tracking system, clearly explaining the issue with the necessary information for developers to replicate and address the problems.
• Perform regression testing to verify that previously identified defects have been successfully resolved and that new code changes have not introduced new issues.
• Collaborate closely with development, product management, and design teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of requirements, changes, and quality expectations.
• Maintain and update test cases, test data, and testing documentation as the application evolves, ensuring the QA team's knowledge base is up to date.
• Assist in performance and usability testing efforts, providing insights into the application's responsiveness, scalability, and user-friendliness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing, with a strong track record of working on SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to identify, document, and prioritize defects effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate potential solutions.
• Familiarity with testing tools and technologies, defect tracking systems, and test case management tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with SaaS concepts, cloud technologies, and web applications is a plus.

• 3+ years of QA experience (cross-browser and mobile).
• Understanding of architecture and tech stack of web solutions.
• Strong knowledge of test types, approaches, design techniques and artifacts.
• Ability to perform and maintain testing documentation.
• Experience with Web debugging tools like Postman, Swagger and Google Chrome DevTools.
• Experience with Rest API, WebSocket and OSI Model.

Nice to haves 

• Automation experience with Java programming language.
• Knowledge and experience in crypto trading.
