Account Manager (Transportation Brokerage Company)

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join team of our Client, US based transportation brokerage company. The Account Manager will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with clients in the transportation industry, ensuring the smooth execution of shipments and deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the transportation industry through regular communication via phone and email.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including operations and logistics, to facilitate the timely and efficient execution of shipments and deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively communicating updates on shipments.
• Utilize email communication to correspond with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely responses and accurate information dissemination.
• Enter and maintain data accurately in web-based software systems, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), to track shipments, update client information, and generate reports.
• Analyze client feedback to inform business strategies and identify areas for growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in email communication and experience managing a high volume of emails in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated experience with data entry and proficiency in utilizing web-based software systems for tracking and managing shipments (e.g., Transportation Management Systems).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and work well under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications will be considered as “+”
