Monitoring and Evaluation Junior Officer

Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) is a value-driven non-governmental EU-certified humanitarian organization. ERC was established 22 years ago in Estonia and currently provides humanitarian assistance to displaced people and other vulnerable people in 5 crisis-affected countries (Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Jordan and Turkey) and different support services to beneficiaries of international protection in Estonia. Estonian Refugee Council works and provide help in Ukraine since 2014 year and now covered 9 regions with ongoing humanitarian projects and monitoring visits. Our Mission is to stand for the rights and well-being of refugees and other vulnerable groups in Ukraine and abroad.

We are looking for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Junior Officer to join our international team!

As Monitoring and Evaluation Junior Officer, based in Kyiv, you will support the implementation of ERC Country Office projects. This position will be responsible for gathering monitoring data from the field, following up on projects' activities, and reporting to the MEAL Manager.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks

• Planning and conducting monitoring and evaluation activities for all projects (including baseline and end-line surveys, Post Distribution and Post Intervention Monitoring, mid-term and post-project evaluation etc.)
• Ensure M&E plans are properly implemented in the county office and by implementing partners through consultation, follow-up and training.
• Support the M&E unit in cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing M&E data from different projects and programmes.
• Collect and analyze complaints and feedback mechanism accountability data to facilitate quality improvements.
• Provide support to all programme teams on technical questions linked to M&E

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field (e.g. humanitarian studies, project management, social sciences)
• minimum one year of relevant work experience — preferably in humanitarian context, social work, community development, NGOs or civil society
• Experience in use of data collection and data analysis tools will be an asset
• You demonstrate organizational skills as well as abilities to analyze and synthesis
• You have basic computer skills, including a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in Ukrainian language.Proficiency in English is an asset.
