HEKS/EPER is looking for Logistics Team Leader Base in Lozova.

The Logistics Team Leader  will be part of the logistics team. The purpose of the position is to support operation of HEKS/EPER base in Lozova.  The Logistics Team Leader is responsible for managing the logistics unit at the Field Office level within HEKS/EPER Ukraine. This role encompasses comprehensive logistics management, including fleet, facilities, utilities, stock, IT, assets, and potentially aspects of supply chain management

Tasks and responsibilities  

Logistics Management:

  • Oversee the management of the vehicle fleet, ensuring maintenance, scheduling, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and implement efficient transportation strategies for goods and personnel.
  • Monitor and optimize transportation costs and logistics efficiency.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with regulations.
  • Oversee utility management, including energy, water, and waste, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable use.

Fleet and Facilities Oversight:

  • Develop and maintain inventory control systems for efficient stock management.
  • Ensure the timely procurement and distribution of supplies and materials.

Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support program objectives.
  • Conduct logistics assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.

IT and Assets Management:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support program objectives.
  • Conduct logistics assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.

 Working Relationship:

The Logistics Team Leader reports directly to the Field Ops Manager. S/he will work closely with the Logistics Manager, the Procurement Manager and the rest of the Logistics Department. S/he will coordinate with other Team Leaders (from the different Program departments, from the Finance department, from the Security department, from the Grant department, from the MEAL department and from the Field Operations department), as required for interdisciplinary collaboration, to provide tactical support in Logistics operational planning, execution and monitoring.

Job requirements:  

Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a humanitarian or field office setting 

  • Previous experience with an NGO is appreciated 

    Skills:  

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple logistics components.
    • Knowledge of logistics software and proficiency in IT and asset management 
    • Soft Skills: Good leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

Languages: 

  • Fluent in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken)
