Machine Learning Developer

The OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented and passionate ML Developer to join our growing AI team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing the Machine Learning components that power our next generation of audio production tools. You will contribute directly to exciting initiatives like "Generative Composition Tools" (to help users create musical ideas) and "Smart Sound Crafting" (to intelligently shape audio tone), transforming how musicians and producers interact with sound.

What You'll Do 

? Develop ML Models: Design, train, and evaluate a variety of Machine Learning models, with a primary focus on audio processing, generative audio, and intelligent sound shaping applications (e.g., vocal assistants, instrument tone shaping).

? Prepare Data: Collaborate with Data Engineers to prepare, clean, and augment audio datasets for model training, ensuring high quality and relevance (e.g., collecting/tagging karaoke tracks, multi-track sessions).

? Implement Algorithms: Implement and optimize ML algorithms and neural network architectures using modern frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

? Engineer Features: Develop and extract meaningful features from audio signals to enhance model performance and understanding.

? Prototype & Experiment: Rapidly prototype new ML concepts and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and evaluate different model approaches for audio applications.

? Integrate Models: Work closely with software engineers, DSP engineers, and product teams to seamlessly integrate trained ML models into company's product.

? Optimize Performance: Fine-tune ML models for efficiency, speed, and memory usage to ensure real-time performance, crucial for latency-sensitive audio applications.

? Support MLOps: Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of ML models in production environments.

? Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in Machine Learning, deep learning, and audio AI, actively applying relevant advancements to our products.

? Document Work: Clearly document model architecture, training processes, and evaluation metrics for maintainability and knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For

? 2-5 years of professional experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist, with hands-on experience in building and deploying ML models.

? Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with at least one major deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).

? Foundational understanding of machine learning principles, including supervised/unsupervised learning, and various neural network architectures.

? Basic understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) and core audio fundamentals.

? Experience working with audio data, including feature extraction, data loading, and augmentation techniques for ML models.

? Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

? Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.

? Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for creating innovative audio experiences.Education / Experience

? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
