Physiotherapists Supervisor

Main Purpose

The Physiotherapist Supervisor is responsible of supervising, monitoring and evaluating all activities related to physical rehabilitation within the MSF project. She/He will reinforce the integration of the Physiotherapy department in to all project activities, working in close collaboration with the hospital multidisciplinary team. 

Accountabilities

• Ensuring the technical quality of the physiotherapy activities and reinforcing individualized «hands-on» therapy.
• Answering and coordinating the programs' logistical needs in cooperation and collaboration with the logistics/pharma team and field coordinators.
• Maintaining data collection tools and providing (both qualitative and quantitative) data to show the progress of physio activities.
• • Encourages the communication inside the MSF physio team and with others stakeholders. 
• Where needed, providing training of any kind (theoretical, on the job,) related to physiotherapy.
• Identifying his/her team’s needs, monitoring and providing support in terms of but not limited to, training, organization of the physiotherapy activities, team management, therapy and documentation. 
• Replacing the physiotherapists when necessary.
• Planning and supervising, with support of the HR department, the associated HR processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, motivation, development and internal communication) of his his/her team in order to ensure having the appropriate team in terms of size, capabilities and skills
• Organizes daily and weekly physio work 
• Attends meetings, rounds and clinics as needed or designated by the physio manager.
• Manages the availability, correct use and maintenance of the physio equipment in the physio room 

MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities

Reporting

• Collect daily the data and fill the Dept.'s statistics file for further analysis
• Provides any document, form or report needed to follow the physio activity to the physio manager or the HR Dept.

Requirements

Education

Degree in physiotherapy 

Experience

• At least 1 years' experience in the field of rehabilitation and physiotherapy with ortho and trauma.
• Experience with MSF or similar organisation in the field.
• Experience in team management and training

Languages

Mission language (English) essential, local language (Ukrainian) essential

Knowledge

Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
