Children of Heroes was founded to help the countless number of Ukrainian children who have suffered the ultimate tragedy: the loss of a parent, or parents, during the ongoing war. Our mission is to honor the memory of the fallen Ukrainian heroes by creating a favorable environment for their children, where they can overcome difficulties, change their lives for the better and build a brighter future for themselves and for Ukraine.
Today, Children of Heroes is a team of 120+ professionals entering its next phase of growth and digital transformation.
We are opening the role of a UI/UX Designer (remote) to join our team as part of the Digital of the Children of Heroes of Ukraine Foundation. In this role, you will work closely with a Designer/ Senior Developer, and the Head of Product, collaborating end?to?end on meaningful digital products that directly support our mission.
This position offers a high level of autonomy, ownership, and creative freedom, along with real responsibility for shaping user experiences and product decisions. You will report to the Head of Digital, with a potential future transition into the Product team as our digital ecosystem continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing user behavior on websites and landing pages
- Conducting A/B testing
- Designing interfaces for landing pages and the Foundation’s website products based on UX insights.
- Developing user flow scenarios
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (Product, CRM & Retention, SMM, Performance marketing)
- Defining the visual style of web pages
- Creating mockups and prototypes
- Designing digital assets (banners, visuals for social media, online media, partner websites, and newsletters) as well as print materials (brochures, flyers, merchandise)
- Generating creative ideas for the visual aspects of communication activities
- Driving the growth of the recurring donor base through UX/UI improvements
- Optimizing user registration and conversion funnels to increase engagement and retention
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of web design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma
- Understanding of color theory, composition, typography, and interface usability principles
- Creative thinking
- Open to feedback
- Proactive work approach
- Experience conducting user research
- Hands-on experience with user research methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys, etc.)
