Project HOPE in Ukraine Private Funded Program Portfolio is focused on next major components:

  • Equipment, Pharma, Medical Supply for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary health facilities 
  • Capacity building for the health care workers including specialized training programs.
  • Support in renovation of Health care facilities and other crucial community facilities to strengthen community resilience and decrease workload on other health facilities. 
  • Improving IPC/WASH standards within Health Facilities and facilities serving affected population
  • Supporting establishment of Mobile Medical Units with Ukraine Health system to establish better access to healthcare services to affected populations and vulnerable groups. 
  • Strengthening community cohesion and resilience with big influx of IDPs
  • MHPSS support to health care workers and affected population and vulnerable groups
  • Emergency Response to healthcare needs in case of crisis escalation   

Position Purpose 

Supervising and providing guidance to the team of Mental Health workers and Social Workers.

Main Responsibilities

  •  On-the-ground implementation of mental health related activities in the assigned oblast(s); 
  • Carrying out all activities related to social support services to individual patients/survivors and linking them via supervised referrals with other relevant government-provided support services and community organizations; 
  • Developing mental health outreach initiatives and awareness raising activities and both in the targeted communities; and Ensuring the quality of care and analyzing statistics and delivering reporting; Management of psychologist and volunteer staff. Participate in the creation of any material needed for counseling activities and maintain and update.  
  • Hold regular meetings with case workers, PSS facilitators and community mobilizers to discuss successes, challenges and way forward. Ensure that files, registers and computer databases are used in an appropriate and correct manner and ensure case workers adhere to proper documentation and data protection protocols. 
  • Document best practice, case studies and learnings for reporting and evaluation purposes.  
  • Prepare and submit MHPSS reports regularly as indicated by the reporting schedule, and submit to the Program Coordinator 

Educational background: Degree Social Work, Gender related studies, Psychosocial studies; candidate with degrees in Psychology/Clinical Psychology preferred.

Years of Experience:  

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Previous experience in the humanitarian, development, or environmental fields is beneficial.
  • Proven experience in writing, copyediting, and drafting high-quality articles, presentations, and posts in both Ukrainian and English.
  • Effective digital communications experience and understanding of relevant tools.

Language Skills : Ukrainian – fluent. Fluency in English and excellent writing skills are required, minimum English requirement: B2/C1
