Shopify Developer

At Norml Studio, our team handles website development, design, and SEO. We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer who is skilled in coding with JavaScript, HTML, and Liquid, and who has experience building custom Shopify themes.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Shopify CLI for local development, testing, and deployment of themes. While this role focuses on developing and customizing Shopify themes rather than building apps, knowledge of Shopify CLI is essential for the efficient development process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop custom Shopify themes from scratch, ensuring the code is clean, optimized, and functional
• Use Shopify CLI to manage local development environments, test themes, and deploy changes to Shopify stores
• Customize themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to meet client-specific requirements
• Integrate themes with Shopify's backend, ensuring smooth functionality and a seamless user experience
• Work closely with the development, design, and marketing teams to align on technical requirements and goals
• Implement version control using GitHub to manage and track code changes
• Ensure the themes are responsive and mobile-friendly across all devices and browsers
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders about the progress of projects and provide technical explanations of your solutions

What we are looking for:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Shopify Developer or in a similar role focused on theme development
• Proficiency in Shopify CLI, including local development, testing, and deployment of themes
• Solid understanding of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience customizing Shopify themes and working with the Shopify API
• Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, with strong communication skills
• Experience working with e-commerce platforms and understanding the needs of online stores
• Familiarity with responsive design and ensuring themes are optimized for all devices and browsers
• English - Upper Intermediate
