Safety Officer

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Safety Office to join our team at Pivdennyi Port, Odessa region, Ukraine. 

Your Tasks:

• Daily monitoring of the terminal area to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and ensuring the implementation of HSE measures at the enterprise.
• Providing employees with personal protective equipment (PPE)and developing posters and procedures for informing employees about safety measures and proper behavior in case of accidents.
• Organizing and training employees on HSE matters and checking work permits and access rights to the terminal area.
• Conducting discussions and practical training with personnel and terminal visitors on HSE matters and participation in HSE audits and inspections.
• Strict adherence to HSE requirements outlined in regulatory, organizational, and local documents and non-disclosure of trade secrets and confidential information of DP World.
• Adherence to the Internal Labor Regulations for Terminal Employees.
• Immediate cessation of any work that poses a threat to human life and health, fire safety, traffic safety, the environment, or the enterprise.
• Monitoring employees' compliance with corporate HSE requirements and regulatory documents.
• Participation in commissions investigating the circumstances and causes of fires, emergencies, fatalities, injuries, and property damage.

Your Profile:

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position within an international company.
• Knowledge of company regulations and requirements in labor protection, civil protection, fire safety, and environmental safety.
• English proficiency at a Pre-Intermediate level.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal car.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills and time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
