Interior Design and Branding for Rehabilitation Facilities

Position Summary

The project involves the design and development of key rehabilitation facility spaces, including conceptual design, visualizations, and the creation of a detailed design album. The consultant will be responsible for providing full design services, which encompass creating interior space concepts, visualizing the design, developing the "Rehabilitation" logo/icon, and compiling an album with detailed specifications for the materials to be used. This comprehensive design work will support the establishment of functional and accessible rehabilitation environments.

 Expected Duties and Responsibilities  

Scope of Work (SOW)

1. Development of Interior Concept for Main Rooms: The consultant will develop a comprehensive interior design concept for the following spaces: Corridor, Waiting Area, Office, Rehabilitation Room, and Universal Sanitary-Hygienic Room

• Concept designs for each room, which should include mood boards, floor plans, and sketches outlining the design direction for each space. The design should reflect the intended use of each space, with a focus on accessibility and comfort for all users, particularly those with disabilities.
• Detailed conceptual plans for the use of colour, materials, furniture, and layout. Each design should prioritize functionality, aesthetics, and the specific needs of a rehabilitation environment.
• Proposal for lighting, ventilation, and accessibility considerations (including Universal compliance for all spaces).
• Each design must meet the project’s standards for accessibility, with a particular focus on rehabilitation-specific needs.
• Suggestions for durable, easy-to-maintain finishes for floors, walls, and ceilings.
• Space layout for optimal traffic flow and comfort for individuals with mobility aids.

1. Interior Visualization: The consultant will create visualizations (renders) showcasing the design for the rooms as mentioned earlier. These visualizations will provide a realistic representation of the final design, helping clients and stakeholders visualize the proposed interior spaces.

• High-quality visualizations (renders) from multiple angles (at least 3 views per space), showcasing the final design of each room, including furniture arrangement, finishes, and lighting.
• The visualizations should reflect the final design of each room, including any additional design elements suggested in the concept phase.
• The consultant should ensure that the visualizations reflect the functionality of the space and demonstrate how the design supports the goals of rehabilitation and accessibility.
• Visualization should include realistic textures, lighting effects, and accurate colour schemes that represent the materials selected in the conceptual phase.

1. Design of "Rehabilitation" Logo/Icon: The consultant will design a logo or icon that represents the theme of "Rehabilitation" for use in branding and project materials.

• Final logo/icon design in vector format, suitable for scaling and use across various platforms and materials.
• The logo/icon should be easily recognizable, simple, and reflective of the values of rehabilitation and accessibility.
• The design should work in both colour and monochrome formats and be adaptable for use on various media, such as digital platforms, signage, and print materials.
• The logo must be modern, professional, and align with the values of the rehabilitation facility.
• The design should be versatile for use on multiple materials, such as brochures, signage, and uniforms.

1. Creation of Design Album with Visualizations and Material Specifications: The consultant will compile a design album containing visualizations, descriptions, and specifications for the materials used in the interior design. This album will serve as a comprehensive guide for implementing the design.

• A comprehensive design album that includes visualizations, detailed descriptions, and specifications of the materials selected for each space.
• The album should include sections for each room, detailing the materials used for flooring, walls, ceilings, furniture, lighting, and any other key design elements.
• The album must include a list of recommended suppliers and material sources, along with any installation and maintenance instructions for the materials.
• The album must be clear and professional, ensuring that all specifications are easy to follow for contractors and vendors during the implementation phase.
• The album should contain technical specifications for each material, including dimensions, colour options, and suggested suppliers.
• The consultant must ensure the materials selected align with the budget and accessibility standards of the project.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in interior design for healthcare, rehabilitation, or similar environments, at least 5 years
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in conceptual design, visualizations, and branding.
• Proven positive experience of cooperation with large-scale renovation projects
• Expertise in Universal Design-compliant and creating functional spaces for individuals with disabilities.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong communication skills and ability to deliver on tight deadlines.
