We need a direct response focused expert whose main responsibility would be helping us scale ecommerce brands via powerful messaging in: video creative, graphics design (messaging for ads), and potentially some involvement in website copywriting (to be discussed).
This is a critical role and you will have a direct impact on the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Initially we will start with part time involvement which will move into a full time position after 2 months of us working together (full time will be subject to your performance).
You must have experience as a creative strategies, copy writer or script writer for ecommerce projects.

Your main responsibility for the first month of part time involvement will be:
Writing scripts for video ads for our ecommerce projects.
Learning direct response. We will pay for your time to learn direct response principles that you will incorporate into your job. For example, you will start with reading Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene M. Schwartz - a must read for direct response experts.
Key assessment criteria here are:
Quality of your scripts and results of those ads
Adherence to timelines
Learning direct response and implementation of those principles in your scripts
Starting from the 2nd month you will also start working on:
Creating powerful messages is not just writing scripts for video ads. It includes a comprehensive process of: audience research (their pains, benefits etc), researching new ideas from competition (new angles, new creative types etc), writing scripts for ads / or ideas for static ads, getting a feedback from media buying team, and using that feedback when writing new scripts to achieve better results from creatives.
The process above will need to be properly created in a task manager software. You will be the one to create that process so that it is transparent for everyone who is involved: video editors, graphic designers, media buyers, project managers.
The processes above can be partially streamlined in certain areas using AI - from research to drafting ideas. We will need you to work on creating AI automations to help you do your job better. It can be just simple chatgpt training based on certain pre-installed principles, or may be more complex systems. We will provide any resources you may need. You don’t need to code anything, just create a process/logic of how your work can benefit from AI.
Key assessment criteria here would be added with your project management skills. How well can you build processes for your own work and actually follow them.
If the first 2 months goes well then we will move into a full time involvement. Full time means no other projects at the same time.

Selection process:
Stage 1 - send examples of your script writing skills for ecommerce projects (links to ads or scripts). Include a description of your experience / CV. Add the word “DTC” in cover letter to your application. We will ignore your application if you don’t include it.
