Advanced International Training Programme in Media Regulation in a Democratic Framework
September 2021 to September 2022.
The programme is organized be Niras Sweden AB together with Fojo Media Institute/Linnaeus University, Global Reporting Sweden AB and International Media Support (IMS), under the auspices and sponsorship of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
Through the programme I've gained increased knowledge in:
- Self-regulatory / co-regulatory mechanisms operating in a statutory regulatory system;
- Media policies and the role of media in a democratic framework;
- Tools to initiate and promote transformation / change initiatives including method and tools for advocacy and strategic communication.
Also I've been working with a transformation project to development of self-regulatory frameworks for the media sector and contribute to national reform and change processes. The work has been carried out fruitfully.
