Data analyst (AdTech, RTB)

We're looking for a proactive and initiative Data Analyst with a strong data analysis, visualization, and statistical analysis background for the project Performance-based DSP which solves the problem of advertisers finding and exploiting RTB traffic according to their CPA goals. The main task in this project is to determine the CPM that we can bid in the RTB auction for the CPA campaigns to satisfy their CPA goals and make buying profitable for us and our campaigns. Data Analysts in our company mostly focus on various algorithmic/optimization problems related to the AdTech domain to improve business outcomes and help Data Scientists with the steps of data analyzing, dataset preparation, feature engineering, hypothesis checking, and so on.

What You'll Do:

• Perform exploratory data analysis to better understand environment, behavioral, and long-term trends (collect, process, and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data - mostly events of bid requests, responses, impressions, clicks etc from HDFS using PySpark, Clickhouse, MySql).

• Provide justified data-driven approaches to improve the complex of bidding / ranking / recommendation algorithms.

• Generate and implement ideas, perform calculations, and uninterrupted work with data in conditions of rapidly changing demand and supply.

• Support current algorithms, reviewing and identifying hidden relationships and potential points for growth among system components and overall, generating ideas for improvement.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate data to ensure data accuracy and integrity

• Design and evaluate experiments like A/B tests (including hypothesis testing).

• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations.

• Stay current on industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve data analysis capabilities.

Who You Are:

• Proficiency querying databases and using statistical computer languages (Python, SLQ) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets (1B+ rows).

• Familiarity with distributed data/computing tools like Hadoop, Spark, etc.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover hidden patterns, maintain a strategic perspective, and maintain focus on objectives

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Datadog, Tableau, Power BI, seaborn, plotly, etc.).

• Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills and the ability to take initiative.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  
  

  Will be a plus:
• Practical experience with ClickHouse.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases (for example MongoDB), especially Aerospike.
• Knowledge of AdTech domain - understanding of online advertising, RTB.
