Organization Overview:
ICITAP has maintained a full-time presence in Ukraine since 2005 to develop the capacities of multiple Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Following the 2014 change of government, ICITAP-Ukraine was instrumental in supporting Ukraine’s desire to deal with the corruption of the previous regime. Over the past decade, ICITAP has conducted more than twenty law enforcement projects in Ukraine and supported capacity building in a half-dozen ministries.
ICITAP has missions in 33 countries worldwide supporting law enforcement training and capacity building in Central America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Pacific Asia.
Position Description:
Serve as a legal assistant for the support daily activities of the Project office team working in Ukraine, drafting and reviewing project-related documents, and legal opinions, reviewing pre-contract documentation and drafting contracts, providing legal advice to the team regularly, and liaising with Ukrainian authorities benefiting from the projects and contractors.
The ideal candidate shall possess:
Master/Specialist degree in law
Minimum two years of experience in law
Experience in foreign-funded projects and project registration
Experience in reviewing and drafting contracts.
Experience in criminal Justice is a plus.
Strong teamwork and collaboration
Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills
Strong written and oral Ukrainian
English language skills are a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
