JOB DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers efficiently and cost-effectively. This role involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels. The specialist works closely with internal teams, external vendors, and logistics partners to streamline operations and meet customer demands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate logistics activities across the supply chain, including procurement, transportation, and distribution. Ensure smooth flow of materials from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers.

2. Transportation Management: Arrange transportation services, including freight forwarding, trucking, and shipping. Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and meet delivery deadlines.

3. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements accurately. Implement inventory management systems and procedures to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.

4. Warehouse Operations: Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and picking goods. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain organized warehouse layouts.

5. Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders efficiently and accurately. Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.

6. Supplier Management: Communicate with suppliers to coordinate inbound shipments and resolve any issues related to delivery schedules or quality discrepancies. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely supply of materials.

7. Performance Analysis: Analyze logistics data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and enhance overall efficiency.

8. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and export/import documentation. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.

9. Customer Service: Liaise with customers to address inquiries, provide shipment status updates, and resolve any issues or concerns related to logistics services. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and effective communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Proven experience in logistics operations, transportation management, or a similar role.

· Strong understanding of supply chain principles, transportation modes, and warehouse operations.

· Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP, WMS, and TMS.

· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.

· Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required.
