Bayer Ltd, a leading multinational company, is opening a position of
Sales Training Manager
The Sales Training Manager is accountable for the continued upskilling and advancing of all customers facing and marketing functions by building and providing respective learning infrastructure as well as driving mindset and company culture with the purpose to increase competitiveness in the market and focus on continued skills improvement.
Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Sets up, manages and promotes training programs, focusing on customer facing roles, in order to provide the organization with concrete and targeted training offers by identifying, cooperating and liaising with external training providers and internal stakeholders
- Along with the other Customer Excellence chapter members, he/she will partner with Country Managers/ Chapter Sales Head and Chapter Head of Marketing to support the delivery of affiliate’s business strategies, plans, goals and targets by providing customer insights and recommendations
- Ensures that capability and skills building embody current and new market practice and requirements, by staying up-to-date and implementing new training methodologies and tools in line with Bayer global practice, and by identifying best practices across industries
- Reviews, reports and suggests actions in relation with optimum customer targeting, field force sizing, geographical segmentation and structuring, KPI setting and reporting, in close collaboration with the Business Intelligence and Customer Insights colleagues
- Regularly conducts on the field visits and discussion with the sales force to understand the needs of sales force and translate these into tangible improvements in the sales operations and effectiveness
- Conducts on-boarding of new sales employees in relation with Bayer sales capabilities, sales excellence and tools
- Manages the Pharma and Sales Incentive Plans by designing or updating relevant schemes, agreeing on targets and KPIs, working closely with the Business Intelligence & Customer Insights colleagues and Finance Business Partners to create the necessary monitoring reports
- Train the trainer for regional/ global trainings that need to be cascaded into the cluster
- Ensures a close collaboration with sales colleagues in case of trainings that need to be localized
Qualifications:
- University degree or above, major in medical, pharmacy is preferred
- Extensive pharma industry experience or relevant in customer or sales/marketing field roles
- Very good understanding of sales capabilities frameworks and how these can best be leveraged
- Experience in sales upskilling in practice could be considered as a big plus
- Experience in managing / exposure in sales incentive plans would be a plus
- Proven experience in project management, use of CRM platforms and training
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Business understanding, strong analytical skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-border environment
- Learning agility
- Proficient digital/IT skills – Ability to quickly adopt new technologies
- Fluent in Ukrainian and English (both written and verbal).
