Procurement specialist (contract, remote)

Frogwares is seeking a Procurement specialist to support our crowdfunding project.

As we prepare to launch a crowdfunding campaign for one of our video games, we are seeking an experienced distribution manager to oversee the entire process of manufacturing and shipping various physical items to backers' doorsteps through international third-party service providers.

The role involves sourcing the right vendors to handle the required services, negotiating favorable terms to maximize profit, and managing all processes from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience working with third-party vendors and implementing best practices in distribution and logistics.

Important: This is a 9-month contract position.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management

• Experience working on a Kickstarter or startup project involving the shipping of physical items is a major plus

• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships

• In-depth knowledge of distribution processes, including warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across various teams

• Proficiency in written and spoken English (B2 level or higher)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the distribution process, including sourcing ideal service providers and negotiating favorable terms

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels in the distribution process

• Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations related to transportation and warehousing

• Collaborate with the finance department to manage budgets and forecast distribution expenses

• Coordinate with in-house publishing and marketing teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products to customers

• Negotiate and manage relationships with external logistics partners, including separate manufacturing, fulfillment, and shipping companies
