Akkon Lines, a leading container shipping line, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless communication between customers and port authorities, facilitating efficient container shipment handling, and supporting logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and port authorities for import and export container operations.
- Monitor and communicate the status of formalities, ensuring timely updates and swift resolution of issues.
- Coordinate and arrange additional services related to container shipments, including storage, loading/unloading, inspections, transportation, and more.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of customs declarations and other regulatory documentation.
- Address client inquiries and provide outstanding customer service regarding shipment progress, delays, or other logistics concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operational processes and uphold service excellence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in logistics, supply chain, or a related field; experience in container shipping is a strong advantage.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation is a plus.
- Language Requirements: Written and spoken English proficiency is mandatory.
